Overview
This course is meant to introduce students to simple grammar and vocabulary. Students will learn how to formulate simple English sentences and develop some basic English skills needed for daily life. This course prepares students for our ESL Foundations course.

Introduce themselves and talk about their interests and hobbies

Understand and use simple grammar such as the 'be' verb, simple present and wh-questions

Understand and use vocabulary related to topics like colour, clothing, transportation, time, large numbers, etc

Make short simple sentences and reply to simple questions; talk about likes/dislikes, family and routines; order a meal in a restaurant /go shopping and understand and write basic texts
